Welcome to Student Conduct and Academic Integrity

Welcome to Student Conduct and Academic Integrity in the Office of the Dean of Students. As authorized by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, the Office of the Dean of Students is responsible for the administration and facilitation of the student conduct process.

Student Conduct and Academic Integrity supports the educational mission of The University of Texas at Austin by upholding the university's community and academic standards. By fostering self-reflection, promoting civility, and encouraging personal responsibility, we aim to provide a safe and equitable campus community, so that UT Austin students may succeed in their academic endeavors.

When the office receives notice of a potential policy violation, the staff will investigate as a neutral third party, utilizing a fair and objective process. Students are entitled to present their account of events, to avail themselves of their full due process rights, and to appeal decisions and recommendations issued by the conduct team.

The team also advises the Student Conduct Ambassadors and Student Conduct Board. The Student Conduct Ambassadors are current UT Austin students who provide peer-to-peer support to students involved in the conduct process, and deliver educational outreach to students, faculty, and staff. The Student Conduct Board is comprised of students appointed by the Office of the President to hear cases and provide impartial outcomes for individual student allegations.
